Of course, like most of you, I was skeptical of the natural healing center and all of its capabilities...so I took to looking at reviews on yelp. When I tell you that the natural healing center has helped me tremendously in many ways I mean it. I struggle with P.O.T.S syndrome and have never felt in control of my body since I was first diagnosed. I can now say that my body is being listened to and it feels oh so good. Joann is patient, caring, smart, and really listens to me and takes the extra time to make sure I am always feeling my beet. I feel like a brand new person. My stomach pains, fatigue, brain fog, and the list continues...have all been cleared since attending the natural healing center regularly. I am so grateful to have stumbled upon this place and my life has been impacted severely in the best way possible.
I recently developed eczema on my inner elbows and behind my knees. I knew it was because of my eating habits and stress, but I didn't know how to overcome it and heal my body. I was introduced to Joann Do from a good friend of mine. Joann is amazing and an extremely knowledgable practitioner. I was hesitant at first to trust the process being that this was my first time at a Natural Healing Center, but everything she advised and recommended all made sense for the greater good of my health. After just a few months of following her meal plan, adjusting to cleaner eating, and taking my supplements, my skin drastically improved. The flaring up and eczema subsided and most days I don't even itch anymore. In the rare instances that I start to itch, I can now easily identify what foods or stress caused it. Joann has been a great guiding hand and major support. I highly recommend seeing her and coming in for a consultation if you are in need of healing.
Joann is the most compassionate, friendly, understanding, encouraging doctor I have ever had. When I went into the Natural Healing center I was skeptical that I would get help because at that particular moment in time I was let down by my own doctors trying to give me more of what was causing the problem. I found myself in the position of yet again being vulnerable and telling someone how my illness has affected me. I was scared of getting my hopes up and being disappointed again. I was struggling with topical steroid withdrawal (red skin syndrome) on 90 percent of my body because of steroid use. I came in with raw red skin, could barely move my arms and hands and neck. I was depressed had sinus problems. It was painful to walk and do everyday things. I have found my support system at the Natural Healing Center. They saved me. Joann has given me a glimpse of what my life was like in less than 2 months. She's given me the ability to be able to hug my kids again. My skin color is coming back, my sinuses cleared the first week of my treatment, I have energy to do things, I can now go for a walk in the sun for a short amount of time instead of being stuck inside and ashamed of my skin condition. Joann helped me get my life back. She continuously listens to my concerns and supports me in the way that I need I will forever be grateful. 06/28/2022 UPDATED REVIEW From cancer to much better life…! This is my third review of the Natural Healing Center in Newport Beach, California. I have been a client (patient) since September 2021. Everything started with an unfortunate bladder cancer diagnosis in June 2021. After the surgery I was recommended immunotherapy treatment to decrease chances of re-occurrence. Faith gave me a bit more time to research my options which led me to discovering the Natural Healing Center. After a very thorough exam and testing I adopted Dr. Shannon’s proposed treatment program. I have mentioned in my previous reviews that I had to make some strong adjustments to my diet and educate myself on how exactly the human body works. I was ignoring some things I already knew not realizing their importance. Of course, I learned a lot more than I was ever anticipating I would know about trying to stay healthy. I was only there to hopefully speed up my recovery, but after following the treatment for only 2-3 short weeks I couldn’t ignore the slew of positive side effects: The pains and aches which I was contributing to just getting older, often trips to the bathroom, poor sleep at night, slow start in the morning, the need of extra cup of coffee late afternoon, constant fatigue… All gone! About 4 months after I started working with Dr. Shannon, I did a thermal imaging scan. When we went over the images and findings, there was nothing mentioned about any issues in the bladder area. Everything seemed to be clear. Can’t tell you how pleased I was with the results. My wife came with me initially just for solidarity, but the positive changes for her were amazing. She was starting her morning with a daily sneezing attack. Just in a month or two her allergies were pretty much nonexistent. My daughter is now off her allergy medication for which she was doing liver screening to make sure the damage is acceptable (!?!) I just completed the 9-month treatment and gladly continuing with maintenance. Just a reminder: I walked in the Natural Healing Center as a post cancer surgery patient hoping to recover. Constantly in pain: hip, knees, lower back, back muscle spasms, neck, limping, almost crippled and trying to survive. Now I can work out almost as I could in my late teens, trying to do splits, flips and somersaults... Well, it was only 4 decades ago. 😊 I would absolutely recommend the Natural Healing Center to anyone for any issues, big or small. They most likely will be able to help you. After an unfortunate bladder cancer diagnosis in June 2021, I underwent a procedure to remove the tumor, and I certainly appreciate the excellent work of my urologist and the whole team of doctors, nurses and medical professionals who assisted during the procedure. The general recommendation after the surgery was to continue with follow up treatments to decrease reoccurring chances. In my mind chemo and radiation were non-starters, but I was offered immunotherapy. Initially, I was going for it. Even had an appointment for the first treatment. However, a little hick-up with my insurance gave me a few more days for extra research and a chance to better understand the upcoming treatment, potential consequences, and eventually search for alternative options. This is when I discovered the Natural Healing Center. After a very thorough exam and testing I selected Dr. Shannon's proposed treatment program over the immunotherapy I was offered. I have been following the recommendations as close as I could. Don't get me wrong, I had to adopt some rather strong lifestyle changes. I can see how in another situation this might seem difficult but didn't bother me much. I simply had to make a choice: 88% chance to be around in 2 years (dropping down quite a bit for the period of 5 years) or going into the realm of naturopathy and potentially eliminating the problem once and for all. About the 4-month mark since I started working with Dr. Shannon, I went into the second phase of the treatment plan. At that point I took a rather detailed thermal imaging check and last week we went over the images and findings from the scan. There was nothing mentioned about any issues in the bladder area.
